Landscaping, drystone wall construction and steps.

Tom Trouton Dry Stone Walling and Landscapes was established in 2004 and is nestled in the picturesque market town of Castle Cary in Somerset, only a stone’s throw from the world famous landscaped gardens of Stourhead, created by Henry Hoare II in the 1740’s.

We are a team of experienced and passionate dry stone wallers and landscapers with a vast array of skills who have come together to create stunning Gardens and landscapes to suit each of our clients desires. Led by Tom Trouton, who draws inspiration from his upbringing on Exmoor in the south west of England we will create a masterpiece  for you, whether it be a full landscape, restoration or a small piece of bespoke stonework, we treat every project with the same attention to detail no matter the size or cost. Our philosophy is to treat each and every project as an individual, thus creating a landscape that is personal to the client and blends effortlessly into its natural surroundings. We source wherever possible, local and reclaimed materials and employ traditional techniques. A passion for creation and an eye for detail ensures that the finished article is of the highest of standards.

From design through the construction and if desired, maintenance, you the client will be consulted to make sure that your garden or landscape expresses yourself and your desires. Flexibility and adaptability are the key words to a good working relationship with the client. At all times there will be a designated person from the team who will be on hand to answer your questions and to advise and explain each step.

Predominantly we work in the south of England and London, however we have had many projects further afield, in the north, especially Yorkshire and further south in the Channel islands. Please contact us as you may be surprised as to where we travel to.

Whatever you require, we are on hand to offer solutions and skills to transform your dreams into the garden or landscape you desire. Some of our suppliers and partners include :
